HAIBEL's mission is to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged populations by empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency through various awareness, training, education and direct assistance activities. With respect to its license to operate, Haitian American Initiative for a Better Life is a nonprofit organization recognized by the Florida Department of State. HAIBEL is also recognized and authorized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS), granting it 501(c)(3) status (tax-exempt status). Organizations with this status are exempt from federal income tax and can receive tax-deductible donations. BIOGRAPHY OF THE PRESIDENT

Born and raised in Port de Paix, Haiti Jean Yvon Pierre did his primary and secondary education respectively at the Jules Marie Bonenfant School and the Notre Dame de Lourdes College of his city. After high school, he went to Port-au-Prince for his university studies. Winner of the entrance exam to the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Natural Sciences / Chemistry Section, he spent only a few months there before choosing the Faculty of Agronomy where he obtained a degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialization in Animal Production and Health.

Jean Yvon Pierre has many years of experience in the management of development projects. He has worked in turn for:
The German Cooperation in Haiti (AAA) as project coordinator
World Vision (Haiti) as Project Coordinator in the North West and South
The Ministry of Agriculture as Head of Department
The Ministry of Finance through an IDB-Haiti project as an external environmental consultant.
The U.S. Embassy through USAID as an external consultant in watershed management
The Methodist Church of Haiti (Cayes) as a consultant for a livestock training project.
The Health Protection Unit of the MARNDR as Supervisor of the National Classical Swine Fever Vaccination Campaign.
Founding Director of the Jean Vonvon Medical Clinics.
For more than a decade, Dr. Pierre has divided his time between the United States of America and Haiti. In 2018, he opened a modern Natural Medicine Clinic in Lalue Port-au-Prince in collaboration with the Eminent Doctor PATRICK JACQUES. Shaken up by political instability and incessant street demonstrations and especially the expansion of gangs in the vicinity of Duval Croix des Bouquets where he had lived since the earthquake of 2010, he had to move to Port de Paix, his hometown. There, he inaugurated the JEANVONVON INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE CLINIC on February 21, 2021 at de l'Hôpital / Amiral Killick Street. which in a short period of time expanded rapidly and became a reference in the field of complementary and alternative medicine in the northwest of Haiti Dr. Jean Yvon Pierre is the Executive Director of the Haitian American Initiative for a Better Life, a nongovernmental organization dedicated to the smooth integration of new immigrants and the support of underprivileged families in the United States. Haitian American for a Better Life (HAIBEL), is registered with the Florida State Department of State and holds a 501(c)3 exemption status. Jean Vonvon Financial and Agricultural Consultants, INC is a consulting firm founded by Jean Yvon Pierre and specialized in the management and development of agricultural and educational projects. environmental and financial issues. Dr. Pierre's favorite hobbies are mainly reading, teaching and music.
