MISSION

 

The mission of the organization is to improve the living conditions of underserved populations by empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency through diverse activities of awareness, training, sensitization and direct assistance.

PURPOSE

The corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that quality as exempt organizations under the section 501c3 of the internal revenue code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

 

These purposes will be pursued and furthered through programs and activities for the benefit of underserved population including, but not limited to:

  1. Food and Supplies Distribution  

  2. Computer Literacy  

  3. STIS and AIDS Prevention  

  4. Substance Abuse Counseling

  5. Public Benefits Linkage  

  6. Small Business Development and Training

  7. Literacy Programs / Basic Writing Skills  

  8. Financial Literacy programs

  9. Basic Health Education Program

  10. Chronic Disease Prevention

  11. Skills and Job Training

  12. Professional Orientation

About Haitian American Initiative for a Better Life, INC

The Organization at a Glance

1) HAIBEL (Haitian American Initiative for a Better Life) is an American non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Kissimmee, Florida, USA.

2) Founded by a group of Haitian Americans, the Haitian American Initiative for a Better Life is a nonprofit organization recognized by the Florida Department of State.

3) HAIBEL is also recognized and authorized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS), granting it 501(c)(3) status (tax-exempt status).

4) Organizations with this status are exempt from federal income tax and can receive tax-deductible donations.

5) Donors can therefore benefit from a federal tax deduction for donations made to HAIBEL (in cash or in kind).

b. Computer training

c. HIV and sexually transmitted disease prevention

d. Information on available public benefits

e. Small business training and development

f. Literacy programs

f. Literacy programs / Basic writing skills g. Basic financial management

h. Basic health education program

i. Chronic disease prevention

8)HAITIAN AMERICAN FOR A BETTER LIFE sera exploitée exclusivement à des fins religieuses et éducatives caritatives qui seront poursuivies et encouragées par le biais de programmes et d’activités, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter :

a.  Distribution de nourriture et de kits sanitaires

b.  Formation en Informatique

c.  Prévention du SIDA et des maladies sexuellement transmissibles.
